THE LIVING SPRINGS CHORALE TO LAUNCH WINTER SEASON ON SEPTEMBER 18, 2007

BERKELEY SPRINGS, West Va., Aug. 30, 2007 -- The Living Springs Chorale, a 30 + voice ensemble under the direction of Lydia Walker and sponsored by the Community Choir, Inc., will begin rehearsals for the choir’s winter concert series Tuesday, September 18 at 7 p.m. at Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church on Mercer Street.

Local musicians with an interest in performing sacred and secular music are encouraged to join Musical Director Lydia Walker and the Living Springs Chorale at the kick-off rehearsal and social gathering on September 18.

The Living Springs Chorale has confirmed three concerts for the winter season:

    Past winter concerts have featured sacred choral masterpieces by Handel, Bach and Rutter, as well as contemporary composers and many traditional holiday pieces.     Children’s Choir Enters Second Season
    The Sleepy Creek Children’s Choir, under the direction of Denise Cline, will kick off the choir’s second season with an orientation and registration event September 17 at 7 p.m. at the Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church on Mercer Street. Area children ages 5 through 14 are welcome to attend the orientation and registration event with their parents to learn more about the choir. Registration is $10 per child or $15 per family and all ability levels are welcomed.
